Flatirons Farmers Hoedown

When I was asked to photograph the hoedown for the Flatirons Farmers Coalition, I didn’t hesistate — OF COURSE!

I don’t have much of a green thumb myself, but I knew this would be an amazing event to capture. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint!

Members of all different farms around Boulder attended the hoedown, allowing for a focus on building community. I got to meet so many amazing people all doing such amazing things for our city and state as a whole.

There was an EPIC silent auction featuring hundreds of prizes. I had to stop myself from auctioning on every single item! Prizes ranged from gorgeous prints, mushroom growth kits, a sweet picnic basket, backpacks, skin care products, handmade sugar cookies, and more.

I felt a deep sense of community walking around the event and photographing tiny moments. I saw lots of big hugs, radiant smiles, good conversations, and everything in between. Not to mention the dancing!

I’ll just let the photos speak for themselves —

As you can see, the energy was off the chain! I had so much fun dancing around to capture these moments!

I always love photographing events — inquire here for your next event!

And, here’s your reminder to support and thank your local farmers :)
