T + L’s Beautiful Brainard Lake Elopement

This was one of the most magical mornings of my whole year!

I headed over to Taylor + Lian’s hotel room in the early autumn morning with Ashley (of Ashley Kristine Photo), for whom I was second shooting. We took some sweet getting ready photos of them and their sweet puppies before heading over to Brainard Lake.

While the weather was a bit chilly, it made for perfectly crisp and clear lighting. Rich greens and yellows surrounded us as the autumn season crept towards peak foliage.

T + L said their private vows to each other along the shore of the lake, with stunning mountain views painting the sky behind them. I couldn’t help but tear up at the beauty of it all — so much love, so much vibrant color; just perfect through and through!

They even brought the sweetest picnic setup to enjoy a little champagne and cake!

DID YOU KNOW? In the state of Colorado, you do not need a human officiant or witness to get married… your DOG can legally be your witness!

All they have to do is sign their paw print on the marriage license, so don’t forget your ink pad!
